Mountain View Hospital

I was very appreciative of the care received from many people during my stay on March 22-23. Also kudos to Dr. Weight and his staff. I came from out of town and I am glad I chose Mountain View.

This business has a billing department that couldn't figure out how to pour water out of a boot if the directions were on the heel. Good grief people, figure out how to get the right address. I told them at the time of service what my address was, but they didn't get it right, so of course 5 months down the road we still hadn't gotten a bill, so I called and resolved it, and luckily got it done before they sent it to collections. Lackluster at best

I wish there was a separate rating for just the billing department. The hospital itself, nursing staff, food, care, etc. was all excellent. 5 stars for sure! The billing department, however is zero stars. Expect to be charged nearly double what you’re told, no transparency, terrible communication.

I had sinus surgery recently and had high hopes for Mountain View as my experience for a CT Scan and prior to surgery were terrific. They were organized, efficient and I enjoyed everyone I spoke with. Unfortunately, during surgery the intubation tube crushed my uvula which has left me in agony long after I should have been feeling better. The damaged part of the uvula is sloughing off...but it can take up to 4 weeks. I can't swallow, eat, drink or talk without being in pain. I've had to miss twice as much work as anticipated because of the pain. Also, once you walk out of the door from surgery, that is where patient care ends and you are on your own. I've always received followup calls from hospitals/doctors, etc., after a surgery, but not from Mountain View. Prior to surgery I would have given them 5 stars, but during and after surgery, not even close. IF YOU ARE GOING THERE FOR SURGERY BEWARE OF THE CARE THEY TAKE IF YOU ARE INTUBATED. I'm sure this is more the anesthesiologist than the doctors, but I really don't know.

My family doctor ordered a shoulder X-ray and an MRI of my back, I figured I would get them both done at Mountain View since my family Dr. is affiliated. The X-ray they took of my shoulder was not even the X-ray my Dr. ordered and I had to have it redone in the right position for my Dr. I made a claim to the billing department and they have responded that I will still have to pay for the X-ray that was not even the X-ray my Dr. ordered. So now I have to pay for their mistake
