Butch Cassidy Childhood Home

Cool place. Great to see people have put forth effort to preserve this place for future generations to learn about this infamous wild west character. Hiking trail. Ample parking. Restrooms available.

The history was great (5 stars for history buffs) and you can go inside the house partially to view a mock setup off the era. There is also a storage shed but that is more recent looking. There is a picnic area with a few tables. A very small area and only worth visiting if you are going through the area. No need to make a special trip. You can see the area size from one of my photos. Everything you can see there is in my photos. So unless you want to see it in person, these photos should be sufficient.

They have done a great job trying to restore this landmark. It only takes 10 minutes do look around. Good stop to stretch your legs.

I just want to say thank you to the Utah State Parks for providing this wonderful, and needed, excursion on a very long road trip for our family! We thoroughly enjoyed this history gem in the middle of nowhere. After hours in the car, we thought we would just stop to take pictures from the road.. Realizing when we got out that not only is it open all hours of the day (and you're able to view inside the home), and free, but yes.. Bathrooms (primitive, but we still appreciated them)! We tried looking for a donation box but couldn't find one so we definitely want to highlight our gratitude for making this open all hours & free.
