Caballo Lake State Park

Well maintained, clean, pleasant and helpful staff. It was crowded, but we were there on a Saturday. We will go back again!

Beautiful place, but take note that if you want to go to the campground, use the palomino rd location or you will be taken to the north side of the lake via a wild goose chase.

Campsites are well sized and maintained. Bathrooms not open. Beautiful lake. Close to beautiful Gila National Forest. Ride on hwy 152 was awesome. Close to Elephant Butte’s perfect beaches. W/E. There are a few FHU.

Nice state park, very clean. Bathrooms are still closed. There are four campground areas, three are close together. Riverside campground is down the road about two miles, and confusing if you arrive late and nobody to help you find the campground and the least favorite of mine.nPalomino has full hookups, Riverside has 7 hookups, the rest are water and electric.nHwy 187 is closed coming from the north exit off of I-25 you must use south exit off of I-25 exit 59 on to Hwy 187

An amazing place. Would give 5 stars if campers weren't being kicked out on the Ides of November
