We stopped in Grants, NM on our way to Arizona, and it's a great example of a once great town along route 66. Lots of relics along this stretch of the road, and not much to see or do. This brewery, however, is a gem.nnThe Route 66 Junkyard Brewery is super cool, with an owner who has a very creative eye for the decor. It's hard not to like it no matter who you are, but if you're a car person like me you'll think it's one of the coolest places you've ever had a beer!nnAdd to all that the fact that the beers they brew on-site (and other local selections from elsewhere) are excellent. There's something for everyone, and it's all good stuff. I highly recommend the Rack & Pinon, brewed on-site.

I drive from Colorado Springs, CO to SoCal and back about once a month. I cam across this place once and am planning to drive I-40 again just to stop by (vs I-I5 and I-70). The place has so much charm esp. if you like old cars, drive-in movies and good beer. I got the chicken from the food truck, which was great, but the only thing on the menu. A copy of the constitution sits on the entry table. This is Americana at its finest.

Great beer and interior design. The owner was friendly and accommodating. Don’t pass through without stopping here!

Great vibe. Excellent beer. Indoor and outdoor seating. Innovative repurposing for pub tables...tailgates and rims.

This brewery is very unique - it is an old garage on the grounds of a junkyard - hard to imagine, but the setting definitely works! Lots of seating in an open-air environment and pet friendly. I was the designated driver, but my husband had 2 porters and I sampled a couple of the beers and they were quite good. Henry, the owner, sat and talked with us. He's a cool guy and has an interesting story to tell. Definitely worth your time to stop in if you find yourself in Grants, NM!
