The Shalimar

This place is the worst place I've been to in quite sometime. The service was slow and unresponsive. There was only one server on a Friday night. What kind of establishment covets money over consumer service. I will never step foot in that hole in the wall again.

Ugliest building on the route, however your favorite 'ole drinking country western song can be heard here on the largest dance floor in Gallup. There are 2 bars inside this stinky sticky floored tavern; one is operated by a nasty sassy Asian woman who attempts to speak Navajo slang rudely to customers and is very selective on who she serves promptly. Perhaps shes unaware of what she is saying in Navajo language or she simply doesn't care who she offends. Perhaps 17 years of bartending does that to a person, who knows, but try the other bar on the west end of the building. Well, the cocktails are questionable, but at least the trans-gendered fellow won't give you attitude. If you're die-hard searching for a place to spin your doll, this is the place, but remember- don't stay more than 20 minutes.
