Miner's Claim Restaurant

First let me start with the staff and atmosphere. Great! Both the staff and the atmosphere are accomodating, pleasant and professional.nHere's the bad. Thursday night is prime rib night, (the special). The special is $35.00 a plate! No place on the menu or the specials board does it state that the prime rib is twice as expensive as anyplace in the valley. For two people our bill, including tip was $150.00. We didn't even have cocktails. No cocktails and $150.00 bill?! We had one appetizer, one Coke, dessert and the two $35.00 prime rib plates. Yes, the food is very good, but not worth a $35.00 a plate. We are not fugal people. We have money and we like spending money on good food and great atmosphere but a $35.00 prime rib special, I think not! As much as we love the Miners Claim, we won't be coming back. Come on Christian, $15.00 higher then any other prime rib in the valley??!! Wow!

If you miss eating out at Minerns Claim restaurant you have missed out on a truenlocal gem. A short 18 miles west of the hot springsnpool, it is soooo much worth the drive. Ournwaitress Jennifer, the owner Christian, and thenschool teacher/bartender treated us like family.nThey not only survived the pandemic, they arenclearly thriving. The locals have supportednthese guys because they are great!

One of my favorite places in Silt to eat.nThe atmosphere is nice with rustic decor and a big heated tent like structure in front and a dining room In the back of restaurant and if u do not want to stay u can get take out .while you wait to be seated sit outside of tent and enjoy the outdoor firepit that looks out at the old building structures from days ago in this small western town . Service is good .nIts casual dress food is really good.salads, steaks and more great homemade soups a martini menu with just about any martini you can think up.if u do not like martinis there is a full barnReservations are pretty much a must if you want to eat here. They r always busynBring your mask.....nDrink up and be merry at the miners claim

5+ Stars! Excellent! The pork madallionswere amazing. My husband had the chicken with mushrooms. It was also amazing! Yummy martinis! If you are ever in little Silt Colorado, you have to plan dinner there!

Excellent service - thank you Jennifer! Food all around was fresh and high quality. Salads made with fresh veggies, soup of the day is always hand madewonderfully. I highly recommend the Reuben sandwich! My Irish soul is pretty picky and this was in my top two of BEST ever! Creme brulee is great. Try their Screwdriver from the bar- jar fresh squeezed orange juice and with Kettle One was to die for. I will be back!
