After leaving Raton we decided to take this route (hwy 69) to Salida, First gas station in this town so I decide to fill up the tank and take no chances until finding another gas station. So the gas price is high, is not big deal since it cost more going to small towns of the beaten pass. Only one person working at the store this AM , she was very polite and a very hard worker dealing with some tourist. For sure if I head this way I will stop here.

I needed gas. They had gas. Would have been a five star review if the pumps had octane-ethanol labels.

Nice clean bathrooms!

It's nice having a Subway inside the store , they have a very nice selection of everything, the employees in the store and the subway are all very polite and well-mannered, and I know it's in the middle of the mountains so of course they're going to jack up gas prices a little bit , I would give them 5 stars but instead of just increase in gas prices a little bit they jacked them up astronomically.

A great place to stop in you need a quick lunch at the Subway inside the gas station.
