Gustoso Italian Restaurant

We stopped in just to get dessert to go. We got the chocolate torte which was very rich and tasty. It was just very small for what we were expecting; about 1 to 1.5 in wide by 4 in.nWe also got the spumoni (3 different ice creams) which came smashed into an 8oz Styrofoam container. It wasn't anything special, you could buy the same thing from a store. All together was $15 for two small, normal desserts. We went to City Market the next night and got 3 desserts from the bakery for $10.nnWe heard great things and maybe we will try it again when we are in town!

Really happy with this food. The Spaghetti with meatballs was great! Not too sweet, but very savory. The Baked ziti was also wonderful. The homemade breadsticks and cheese bread hit the spot and the garden and Caesar salads were very fresh and perfect. We will be back!

What a complete and utter disappointment! After raving reviews we came here with our family while staying in town. Out of a party of 7, I got mine first. It was the mushroom pizza and it was cold. 15 minutes later they came back up with my daughters and her boyfriends food and her ferry I I Alfredo was cold and chicken was dry. At this time he took my pizza back. 10 minutes later he come back with my same pizza but burnt! He also brought my wife’s Lasagna. Hers was good. My pizza was burnt on the bottom as well. 20 min later when he comes back with the 3 last dishes I tell him about my pizza. He takes the pizza back and comes back with it all unstuck, but still burnt. Asked for something different along with the 3 other meals that were cold and we were told the kitchen was closed. Manager finally comes up and apologizes. I know bad things happen, and we will give this place one more try if we have time. Just completely disappointed!!!!

Upon entering Gustoso, it appeared empty and took several minutes to be acknowledged (seconds before the decision to leave). The feel was that of only one front of the house staff. The service is polite and definitely not intrusive. The Italian burger is packed with flavor and, with the exception of a couple of overly cooked bacon, prepared perfectly 8/10! Chicken parmesan is huge, crisp and flavorful, not to mention YAY!! for the plentiful cheese, the correct amount to accompany this dish, and the side salad topped with house dressing, is a nice accompaniment. Gustoso isn't a romantic dining experience, but it IS (at least on this visit) solidly prepared entrees that will not leave you hungry.

We ate there today. They had heated patio dining. We had mussels with Italian sausage as an appetizer. These were very tasty and left a warm glow in my mouth. For dinner we had spaghetti with meatball and veal Parmigiano. Both were delicious. I would go back any time. The service was superb. We had a great evening away from home.
