Ole Miner's Steak & Chophouse

When I pay this much for a meal I expect the food to fit the bill. This is one of the few places we have been lately that do just that. We were blown away at the quality of our meal and my wife and I left as satisfied as could be. Fish to steak, doesn’t matter what you order, it is going to land in the top ten meals you have ever eaten.

This place needs a reservation to get in, and it's pretty nice as it has 3 floors of a fancy mining theme. The food is absolutely delicious, even though the price is really high. The servers were definitely awesome though!nThe downs would be the bathrooms and side salad size. An Entre comes with a side salad, but the size of the plate is ridiculously small. Definitely not worth the price for what you get for sides. Some of my family members were still hungry 3-4hrs later, also depending on your order.nThe main bathrooms are really small, but they have a single-use bathroom by the bar which is a little nicer. It's kind of a weird mix of old-miner stuff but fancy overpriced dishes (both food and glassware).nAs far as alcohol goes, they serve red and white wines by the bottle or the glass, and offer a good selection of beers as well. Their Stella Rosa Moscato is most definitely recommended, and it's $9 a bottle (small bottle though).nOverall, I'd say this is a good place to visit at least once. Just be ready to pay at least $50 a person depending on the order.

My husband and I had such a wonderful dinner, thank you. We live just up the road in SJRV, and we’re over the moon to have our neighbor steak house and fine dining back. Thank you, chief Stoney. Amazing food and service. Best meal I’ve had in a while great atmosphere. Love that it is family owned. Will definitely make this a regular spot
