This place is awesome! We stopped in while in the area doing bourbon tasting and so glad that we did! Beautiful facility and very friendly staff. The outdoor seating area was the perfect setting to try some of their delicious wines. Our favorites were the Forbidden and the Equestrian Series X. Excellent stop!
Sheila was very knowledgeable and friendly, our first experience in wine tasting was amazing because of her! The property is true to Shelby County’s beauty and we were glad to support local businesses. We will definitely return!
Loved celebrating my moms birthday with a wine tasting at Talon Winery! All the wine was delicious & such a great atmosphere! Loved having help from Sheila. Will be coming back!
Just made a nine hour drive from Virginia to Simpsonville, KY... the first leg of our move to Denver. Surprised to learn there are a lot of wineries in Kentucky, thanks to the wonderful staff at Talon Winery. They let us in minutes before closing time and treated us as if we had arrived at opening. We enjoyed the cab and a sunset view on the back lawn. Please pay them a visit!
We experienced less than stellar customer service. If your busy, why not pass out order forms so you can start deciding what to order? No. He took care of his wine club people and left many waiting. There was no introduction of wines or information. The new girl popped in and did get our samples filled quickly as she was just starting her shift apologizing as she poured. The wines lacked body and The flavor we expected for $25/bottle. Must be a new winery. Hopefully with time their wines will improve with age and service!
