Maggie Spillane's Ale House and Rooftop

The vibe was nice, a bit noisy in there like how college bars used to be. I ordered their Dutch Mule it was more sour than spicy but it tasted good. I wasn’t too hungry so I went with their appetizers. I ordered the garlic and herb fries with Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese did not taste good so I asked for their beef empanadas. They were alright. The fries were delicious though with the right amount of crisp. The waitress was kind enough not to charge me for the Mac.

They have a beautiful and spacious rooftop. Great selection of beers. TVs that stream different games. Excellent for large groups. The food is very good. I've seen cover bands here and I really liked it.nnMy office has become a regular here during the summer but I loved it so much I often come with my friends, trust me when I say, this is the best spot to watch the sunset in Mount Vernon. What better thing that watching a beautiful sunset while drinking an ice cold beer?

This spot has amazing service and tasty meals. My favourite place in the area. The food and drinks arrived quick and the rates were fair. Highly recommended.

I love this place. You can never go wrong with anything on their menu. I'm hooked on their garlic & herb waffle fries with the chipotle mayo sauce. It's a must with every meal.

The prices were reasonable, the service was excellent, and the food was very good. The background music got a little loud later in the evening, mainly because of the hard floors and lack of sound deadening material. But it's a good place for a meal, or to meet for drinks. I had the chicken pot pie and it was very well done. My friend had Atlantic salmon and he said it was good, too. The dessert tray was neat! I had hot apple pie a la mode - delicious. On Fridays, it starts getting crowded as the commuters tramp in, from the Fletwood train station. They have karaokle and music thingies, but not while I was there. They are tons of TV screens, and the place seemed neat and clean. Parking can be problematic at peak times. I just drive around the block one or twice and usually find a spot.
