Where do I begin? Mortgage application went through without too many hiccups but everything after that was terrible.nn1.) We were told checks would be sent to us by the elmsford office. That never happened so the Mahopac office had to do that for us.nn2.) They couldn’t set up our direct deposit correctly and took a long time to figure out the issue so we almost didn’t have enough funds for our mortgage.nn3.) Don’t even try to sign into online banking because you won’t be able too and when you call the 1800 number that it tells you to they will have no idea what you’re talking about. The answer I got... “this is just a call center, I see you have an account but we can’t set up your online banking” But I was referred by your website to call this number. Marcella had no answer for me.nn4.) So I called a local mahopac branch and with some help they tried to at least get my wife signed in. They set it up and when it was time to enter the confirmation code...no code was sent to our cell phone.nnI have no idea why they can’t figure it out but I understand there is a reason people choose to stay with larger more reputable banks and that’s what we will do now. Go to chase, Bank of America, hsbc , etc. STAY AWAY FROM TRUSTCO!

I sent this lousy outfit money and asked them to open an investment account. It took them 10 days to open the account and they proceeded to invest it 7 days later and then lost 5% within 3 days. When I asked them why it took so long and why they invested the money into such a loser fund, they responded with dismissive arrogance and said they had done nothing wrong. I quickly realized I had made a mistake by getting involved with them during that phone call so I asked them to liquidate my account. I requested internet access for my account on 10/5 and never received it. The Business Development Officer called to appease me. I told him how dissatisfied I was with the lack of service and the attitude of the punklike twerps who were handling my account. He recommended that I stay the course with Trustco and said a new, more mature and professional team would be assigned to handle my account and stated someone would be contacting me in short order. I waited a week and still didn't hear from anyone so I instructed them in writing to liquidate my account on 11/10. The claim to have done so on the 11/16.nnIf you looking for a non-responsive, slow motion, excuse driven investment company that is understaffed and does not care about their clients then you should move your money to Trustco.
