North Plank Road Tavern

Outstanding from start to finish!nNice friendly greeting upon entering this historic establishment. We were seated outside on their lovely patio.nMy beer - a Captain Lawrence IPA was poured perfectly and was served at the right temperature so I was a happy camper.nThe food was excellent. I had the bacon wrapped cod and yes, it was as good as it sounds! Coffee and desserts were top notch.nFriendly and attentive staff who were working in a safe manner at all times. Just a wonderful evening.

Got a reservation for outdoor seating in Autumn. When we sat down, it was nice out but things quickly cooled off as the sun went down. Luckily the staff was very quick to turn on the propane lamps AND to provide us with blankets (one time use before being washed).nnFood was delicious. Our party of 6 got the cheese plate, the braised pork, the pork tenderloin (my personal recommendation), the salmon, and the muscles and everyone was pleased. The creme brulé wasn't the best I'd ever had but it was fine.nnFinally, the space is beautiful and the history, stretching back to prohibition, really adds to the whole experience.

The setting is wonderful - the very old tavern. The food was good - not great - but good. Unfortunately all of the food was very overpriced!! And the waitress seems she would be more at home in a Denny's than at an upscale restaurant.

Very well organised and welcoming place. They provide generous portions and for affordable rates. We enjoyed the menu a lot and the waiters were very affable and chatty. Will definitely recommend this spot.

The atmosphere is very cool historic building with a special based menu. Filet tips and Salmon dishes were excellent. Not a cheap dinner.
