At first we had a very wonderful experience and the owner is definitely knowledgeable. Our babies were always groomed beautifully. To this day we still use her recommended food and have seen a wonderful difference. With that, one of my dogs has a tendency to bark a lot with new people but is never aggressive unless he senses danger to himself or his family. I suppose the owner was fed up because she informed my mother the last time we picked him up that she had been using the shock collar on him to quiet him but have never disclosed previously that this is a practice they use. My mom was upset as we have small dogs and have never used anything like that on him before. When my mom expressed how she was upset the owner was extremely condescending and told my mother she was lying because when he saw the collar he reacted scared like he has seen it before. When my mom picked my dog up he was terrified of the owner. She also implied that we were bad owners over back and forth email. This was a while ago but it has never settled right with me and I feel it is important to share because of the undisclosed use of the shock collar. I really do hope everyone else has a better experience than we did.
Bark Avenue is a great groomer. They have always done an amazing job with my dog and typically add an extra, like a feather in her hair. They have always been flexible with scheduling, allowing me to drop her off before work and pick her up afterward, as long as I pay the daycare fee. My dog usually comes home from daycare happy, tired, and with a great new haircut! They also sell fun leashes, food, and treats. They were always happy and willing to provide recommendations for shop purchases based on her health.

The lady I spoke to on the phone was very rude. She didn’t seem like she wanted my business . When she told me the price for grooming my dogs, I told her it was expensive and I thanked her. As we were hanging up, she said “take better care of your dogs!”. I take very good care of my dogs but I also have a kid I’m college. I have many other expenses in addition to grooming.
This is the second time we brought Eevee there and she comes back smelling so good! The staff there are great and say Eevee does well when there. I love that she’s out with other pups and not in a kennel waiting her turn! The groomers there are knowledgeable on my dog’s with fur and she always comes home so soft and clean!nnAlso - one time she came back with a cute little green feather and this last time she had a bandana. I love that touch!
