Governor's Tavern

Came here this past Friday and the 5 star review still stands!nPork sandwich and chicken sandwich were both outstanding. Just after we walked in there was a sudden rush of customers. The bartender/server (Britney) single handedly covered the bar, inside and outside tables and did so efficiently and pleasantly.

This place needs 10 stars. It is a must stop and it will be a place we repeatedly visit on our way upstate. First of all, Brittany our waitress, was incredible and makes the meanest margarita around. Second of all, the food is lit of this world good. If you don't get a burger, chicken sandwich, and cauliflower wings with their homemade sauce, you're doing it wrong. If you're reading this, stop trying to decide and just eat here. The best way to end an epic four day weekend!

Best bar in town. Beer selection is always on rotation, 12 local brews. Food is so good, fresh ingredients, amazing combinations, always cooked to perfection. Try the Nashville Hot if you like spicy.

Great food combined with wonderful service.nnBurgers were delicious - great that they source local beef. And great to find an amber ale. Perfect for an autumn afternoon. The staff were kind and attentive, which only added to the cozy pub feel.nnWe came to Hudson for the weekend and ended up eating here twice! I highly recommend and would definitely return.

Updated for Covid Times:nEverything in my previous review still stands. But I want to note that I felt incredibly comfortable dining at Governor's. Everything was extraordinarily clean, they were very obviously following all of the recommended guidelines, and I still left incredibly satisfied with my experience there. I've been waiting 6 months for that Nashville Hot sandwich and I was not left wanting.nnI have yet to be dissatisfied by my experience at Governor's Tavern. The food is consistently delicious, the staff is friendly, and the service is good. It also has a relaxed atmosphere and the draft beer selection is well labeled. Definitely worth checking out.
