The Cove - Seafood & Banquets

We went to The Cove to see the Dueling Pianos show. We were seated on the second floor. Our waiter was good and friendly. However, he was the ONLY waiter for 8 large tables (half of them having about 10 people). The bar upstairs was not staffed. The poor waiter had to service all of the guests upstairs ALONE and had to literally run downstairs for anything he needed to serve us. It took us a half hour just to get drinks and hours to get our food (which were only appetizers). We communicated with the people at the tables around us and we all were wondering how they could have only staffed ONE waiter for approximately 50-60 people for a night when they were hosting a very popular event. This poor guy was left out to dry. He did his absolute best but our situation was a result of poor management. All of us were there wanting to spend money and buy drinks but we simply couldn’t. If they had staffed appropriately, The Cove could have made FAR more money than whatever amount they saved by skimping on having minimal staff. This seems to be a common complaint of this establishment from all the reviews I have read so I’m not sure why they haven’t done something about it. You would think during a pandemic when restaurants are having to close their doors, The Cove would be taking advantage of what they have (a great space and location with customers WANTING to spend money) by managing it appropriately and appropriately staffing for an evening. I can’t say I will be back for an event any time soon.

Stopped in for a fish fry tonight. Server was good but we were so far out it took time to get drinks. On that not beer a little pricey but a mojito was $9?? REALLY? $18 FOR 2. LORD. Quality of food was very good. Probably the best fish fry I've ever had. I will definitely come back for that but I will hold the drinks! Kudos to the kitchen staff and server and bar staff.

We had a fun night with the band but when we called to make a reservation we were told cover was $5 and when we got there it was $10. Service took a long time but once the waitress started waiting on us service was good.

The music, food and servers were great! So nice to finally go out, hear some rock-n-roll and relax. Rose and John are servers extraordinaire!

Great place. Can't wait until the restrictions are done cause this place is set to be hopping and a lot of fun. Large stage. Open area and lots of seating.
