Underground Coffee & Ales

Awesome little cafe! The coffee and beer are both delicious. The food is out of this world good!!! Got the hot honey chicken sandwich and it was one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I ever had. Their grilled cheese is fantastic as well. Prices are also very fair for the amazing quality.

I'm sad that I've had to downgrade my review as this place is one of my faves. They are using only disposable cups for hot and cold beverages for in-person dining, which they didn't do before the pandemic. The environmental impact of that, without any health benefit to the staff or patrons, makes me feel uneasy. It is a lovely place AND I hope they can revise their policy to make sure patrons can be safe without unnecessary damage to our environment.

My boyfriend and I have been following Underground Coffee and Ales on Instagram for probably over a year now and we are constantly sending each other the food posts. It was the French onion burger today that finally had us take the drive to stop in. We ordered the Buffalo brussel sprouts as an appetizer and we shared the chicken sandwich and burger specials (with fries and onion rings). (I had a long week at work, okay?) Everything was amazing. We asked if they could cut the sandwiches in half and they went above and beyond by putting each half in its own basket with their own side of fries and onion rings. The portions were so satisfying and the drinks were great. If you are in the mood for bar food, this place definitely met and exceeded our high expectations.

I like the selection of food and the innovative manner for handling the menu via QR code using the consumers smartphone.nnThe only complaint I have is the high amount of salts used on the onion rings.

Love this place! Found it by accident, now I visit often. The food is great the service even better, good food, good brew and great coffee couldn’t be anymore perfect!
