Staff was okay, and food was alright. The room was very nice and the price was right. The suites are way overpriced though. I think over the last 15 years this old gem is losing it's luster.
It's a good hotel but the 5 star rating is more for the incredibly attentive bar staff. I believe someone was being trained while I was there but I was really impressed with their demeanor, professionalism, and general pleasant attitudes. The rest of the stay was fine, unremarkable, but that stuck with me.
We had our wedding there recently and in short notice, they were able to convert to an outdoor event due to the pandemic. It was more beautiful than we could have even imagined and our guests are still taking about how delicious the food was! We worked with Judith for the 16 months prior to the event and throughout, she was very responsive and professional. Our wedding was unforgettable. I will absolutely be having more events there in the future!!
Nice room with a beautiful lake view. Employees were very friendly. I only stayed overnight but I had a wonderful visit.
Room was clean. Breakfast was good but portions were a bit small. Definitely would recommend and would stay again.
