My wife and I really enjoyed our lunch at the Old Talbot Tavern today. Had a bourbon BBQ pork sandwich and the pot roast. Both were excellent. Good beer and wine selection and a very impressive bourbon menu. Wait staff were great, even though they were quite busy. The building itself is historic and iconic and very well furnished. You can picture what it must have been like eating at the Tavern back in the 1700's. It's really a fun place to walk through. We did not spend the night here at the Inn, but I will certainly consider it the next time we visit. I would highly recommend this place.

Wonderful dining experience for both the history of the town and the absolutely wonderful food. The staff is wonderful and as friendly as you could ever want. If it is your first time.... and you've never had a hot brown..... do yourself a favor and order this piece of Kentucky History. You won't be sorry. Bourbon lovers.....they have all you'd ever want. Go crazy!

My boyfriend and I very much enjoyed our visit to Old Talbott Tavern. The restaurant was lovely. The food was delicious! They had an amazing list of bourbon to choose from. Awesomeness through and through. :)

A girlfriend and I stayed here 9/25 through 9/27 and we were both very pleased with the inn. Everyone we encountered who worked there was so nice and helpful. The room was fantastic, spacious and very clean. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was huge. I loved having both a shower and the claw foot tub. Being right in the middle of town was great. We walked every where that we went. I will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Bardstown.

I’ll start by saying the atmosphere was awesome. Such a cool building! We waiting an hour to be seated - no problem, we did try to make a reservation but couldn’t get ahold of anyone when we called. It took an hour to get us our food once we were seated. The hot brown felt like it had been sitting under a warmer for an hour. The salad was $9 and was just a bigger side salad, nothing fancy for it to cost that much. My husband and I got the bourbon pecan chicken, and really wanted to love it, but it was way WAY over cooked and the sauce was so sweet I couldn’t eat it. This place has the potential to be really good and we really wanted to love it but it was all around disappointing for us.
