NJ Exotic Pets

Been my go to this pet store for the past 3 years and I'll never go anywhere else! Always has everything I need for my snakes. Also one of the most uniquely stocked exotic pet selection in the area! Well worth the trip even if you're not local!

So today me and my son walk into NJ exotic pets to look around and maybe purchase a reptile but the moment I walk in I get a strong stench which seem to have been a skunk smell it was so strong it was no way it was not coming from inside the store but I said to the guy up front have the skunks arrived and he says no its a wild skunk in the area that had sprayed he had happened to chase away believed him at first until I walk to the back of the store as the smell was much stronger but then I over heard a young lady with green colored hair say to another women that she was almost was sprayed by a skunk in the back room giving medication, so why lie to a customer about having skunks if you have them in the store what if I wanted to make a skunk purchase why have them there, I would give this store one star but the two gentlemen that I always see take their time to help out my son and show him reptiles on a few different occasions thank you to the tall guy with the hat and tattoos also the guy with the splashes on his brows (sorry ill get the names next time) you guys help always ...........

Absolutely love this place! Employees are nice and very helpful, didnt make me uncomfortable when asking questions and holding some of the animals. I ended up spending more than I should've because I bonded with so many different species and bought two different animals. One to which I hold daily (hedgehog) while the other prefers to be alone but doesn't mind being picked up (snake). I definitely recommend this place to many people who is looking for an exotic pet!

Why I have never heard about this place before is beyond me but I came here today and left with two beautiful spider babies. All the animals in the store are healthy and well loved. The staff is super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I'll definitely be back. It was worth the hour drive. Thanks for a great experience!!

Pleasantly surprised by how clean this place was, and so happy to see they feed their animals oxbow! We adopted two adorable naked rats from here. The only thing that concerned me was the way the rabbits are housed with not so much ventilation, which was why the sliding plastic door was open, but one bunny was trying to jump out so I pushed it back in. If it fell it would have been injured. Hoping when they move they have the buns in a proper set up. Besides that I liked that they have their super exotic pets high priced so if someone is adopting they truly will be more likely to give the animal the proper care & be a forever home.
