The Grocer's Table

LOVE. The location is wonderful and the menu offers a great assortment. I really appreciated the amount of dairy-free and healthy options they had on the menu. The service was friendly and the setup is easy to understand. I look forward to their patio being open again this spring and coming back often. Very large salads and fair prices.

Our family was so excited to try this restaurant; the food looks great, the market is darling. But, the service model is totally malfunctioning and not diner friendly. Our first visit, no one ever thought to mention that we need to go order at the counter; we had to serve ourselves water and track down napkins and silverware. We realized we were short a coffee, and the only option was to go stand back in line versus being able to order a single beverage any possible way. Similar, once our food arrived, we were needing one more item, but again, the staff Said the only way is to get up after your food just arrived, go stand in line for 5-10 minutes while your food cools. The servers kept asking to bring our desserts when we were far from finished; and finally, after I got up to ask them to bring the desserts, despite many servers standing around they couldn’t clear the table. It was so defunct. Not even someone casually walking with water refills when they had people standing around. The food was hit and miss; some excellent, some very disappointing. But funny that we saw the table set for the owner was surrounded with service unlike any actualnCustomer was afforded while we were there. Too bad...the service was also punctuated by crabby and rude “have no time for you” attitudes. Good luck....neat ideas, but needs work. And the beverage selections were far too narrow, hope they take action on feedback.

Food is good, fast and fresh. Lots of parking nearby. But the service model is kind of weird, the fact that one needs to go and pick up one's drinks, in one spot, and the food at other, while there are servers around is counter intuitive. It definitely needs some fine tuning. But the food is great :D

Really good food, but they should have their take-out timing down by now. We waited 30 minutes beyond the pick up time THEY specified.nnWhen ordering online, they ask if you want to pick up or have the order delivered to your car. I always choose this option. However, take note in the confirmation that they want you to call and let them know that you’re there. Many times the line is busy, making this form of contact pretty useless.nnHopefully they’ll figure out a better system, since their food is so good the take out orders will continue to increase.

I just dined in at the wayzata location and I was absolutely disappointed with my experience. When we arrived the host seemed a little unsure with what to do and the employees were not as friendly as a restaurant should be. We came in and gave our number to the host and she confirmed it with us but she wrote down the incorrect number. We came back about 25 minutes later with no message for our spot, and found out that she had the incorrect number even after confirming with us, and she had already given up a table spot so we had to sit at a bar spot. We were really expecting to be able to sit at a table. I was displeased with the seating system and felt it as very unorganized and rushed. Then after ordering the food took an incredibly long time to be delivered to our bar spot. When the food got delivered I was given the wrong order as a breakfast burger and it looked like the egg had a hair in it, which I was glad I didn’t eat it. We immediately realized it was the wrong order and had to wait about 10 minutes to get an employees attention since they were not attentive and helpful. Then it took a while longer for the order I had originally asked for to be delivered. The food was okay but the turkey burger was absolutely dry and flavorless. I ordered a lemonade, it was good but it felt as if it had a hint of cleaning products in it which made it taste disgusting. My friend ordered a breakfast option and ended up receiving watery eggs that were completely undercooked. I feel as if this afternoon my time and money was wasted into a unpleasant experience. Overall the whole dine in experience was horrible due to the lack of organization the timing, and the workers attitudes. This was my first time trying this restaurant and I was absolutely disappointed.
