Overall, this place is great. The beer and service is wonderful, and the patio is perfect. Probably the best lager I’ve had in the cities.nnThe food, however, we felt could use a little attention. The mushroom rueben, while good, felt small and dry. The wurst seemed a little plain. Most of all, though, we were disappointed that each plate came with 3 small potatoes instead of a full-sized side dish. We also got a charcuterie board which was great... but not quite worth $25.nnWe’ll happily come back for a few pints and a great time on the patio, but I hope management makes some slight improvements on the food. Still very much 5 star worthy.nnEdit: Super thoughtful response, Tom - appreciate your approach and can’t disagree. We’ll be back to test it one more time :)

German beers adhering to the standard! Wursts are outstanding with the potatoes. Pic is of the mushroom toast app. It is excellent.

As always a delightful experience from beginning to end. Delicious food, an atmosphere that rivals even pre-pandemic restaurant-going and beer that just helps put everything into perspective. Will continue to return and hope it never gets too popular for me to get a table quickly, but I'm sure some day it'll happen.

Great service, tasty wursts and beer. Oh and they have live accordion on the patio :DnnUpdate:nnAs of 2021 the beer selection is VERY limited ( nothing but light pilsner and lager in the middle of winter? .... ) . They need to have a greater range of beer if they want to compete with Bad Weather ( which is literally right around the corner and offers a great range of delicious beers). I would recommend Bad Weather's aptly named 'Cauld Weather' to remedy those February chills. Nothing at Waldmann's can hold a candle to it.
