Super nice place to grab a bite to eat. Whether it be breakfast lunch or supper the food is sure to be delightful and the huge bay windows overlooking the lake offer wonderful views. However the wait for food on busier nights can be quite lengthy.. Overall great place, great food ud83dudc4c

One of the best places in northern Minnesota! I highly recommend Northern Cowboy for your stop, first choice. Great food and drink, service is amazing and the ambiance is even better. Located on beautiful Long Lake in Nisswa Minnesota. Manager Dan is one of the best. Great person working hard to serve the community. Let's patronize this establishment and keep them in business.

Views, interior, service, and food we're all appeasing. We had the jalapeno cheese curds and fish tacos for lunch. Both were hot and well executed. Fish tacos could use a squeeze of lime and less breading, but we're still quite good.nnUnfortunately the prices of food/drinks was much higher when compared to other local establishments (despite same quality). This is coming from somebody who was visiting from Chicago, too! Our lunch (for two) ended up costing more then our 3 course dinner at the Norway Ridge Supper Club the previous night (steaks and seafood w/ starters and drinks) which was shocking. We saw what appeared to be the owner/mgr on our way out who was passionate about the business and customer retention. Rightsizing the prices and increased focus on food details and this place could effortlessly be 5 stars. Will be back to find out w fingers crossed.

A series of bad decisions ultimately led me to this review. The menu was incredibly limited (eleven entrees), plus some pizzas and side salads. The walleye cakes were the highlight. Not great, but quite good. My wife enjoyed her Bourbon Street Pasta and her beer cheese soup. I had an incredibly disappointing pizza. Pre-made frozen crust, that was tough as shoe leather, yet mushy on top. I could barely get through one slice, and ended up just picking sausage off the rest of it. The staff was efficient, but overall the experience was disappointing. Perhaps it is better during tourist season. I'll most likely not find out.
