This review is specifically about my experience at the Harris Birthing Center. My husband and I are so pleased with the level of care we received. Between our doctor from Walnut Lake OBGYN and the most amazing labor/delivery nurse, Kelly, we felt like we had the best team to bring our baby into this world. I can’t say enough about Kelly. She set the bar so high for all nurses and medical professionals.
This hospital barely made a one star... the only reason is a couple staff members were actually kind and honest. My father is back in the ER department, less than 12 hours from being discharge the first time.He is 96 years old, we were told he would be admitted ( even gave us rm number). , yet you had him...a high risk patient, stay in the ER department all day,... with COVID patients!!! Staff did not check on him hourly. No food. No reposition, no up to the bath room. Staff used my brother as his bedside caregiver. Many hours later when my brother stated he was leaving after staying all day is when they finally transferred him to his room. This hospital discharged him the day before when he was too weak to even walk... no PT. He ended up falling at home. This hospital needs more trained staff and to re-train what they have now. I pray for a better outcome for tonight. A question to all Huron Valley directors, CEO and President....what are you going to do to solve this issue??? I am surprised that all the negative reviews have not been taken to the next level. You really need to step it up for your patients and your community. Your reviews are terrible...what other message do you need to make it clearer. What’s taking you so long??? Don’t have enough staff? Don’t pay them enough? You really need to make this a priority. People need jobs and they need hospitals.
This is a wonderful hospital with stellar staff. My son had hip surgery for a sports injury and the team made us feel comfortable and his surgery was successful in getting him back to his prior level of functioning. Their vaccination program is also very well organized and they have done a great job under very difficult circumstances.
I had my first child at St. Joe's and my second child here and the difference was night and day. The level of care and attention I received was just phenomenal. Snacks, photos, WAY more staff, it was just 100% better in every way for a child birth (planned c-section). I even had some minor complications after and I was attended to so well, that it wasn't even scary, not for one second. I felt alone at St. Joe's, and I felt safe here.nnAdditionally, the attending OB while I was there heard something while listening to my heart that none of my other physicians ever noticed, and he asked me to have it checked out. It turns out I have a pulmonary arterial hypertension. Not only is it an extremely rare disease, the odds of it being diagnosed before symptoms present is miniscule, and usually found by accident looking for other things. It's uncurable. Fortunately, it's progressive, so being diagnosed so very early literally saved my life. My cardiologist said untreated, I would have died within 5-10 years. Omg. Whatever he heard, he saved my life.nnI now have the states best team of specialists and a long, normal life ahead of me, and the chance to see my baby grow up.nnThere are no words to thank him for what he did. For my baby, and for me.nn1000% recommend
My husband and I received our COVID-19 immunizations at this hospital. Everyone was kind and friendly and prompt. They took good care of us and answered all of our questions. We had a great experience and would recommend this hospital to all of our family and friends.
