It would have been a delightful evening except for the mosquitoes. They have done nothing to control the mosquitoes. Unless you want to eat inside you have to battle the bugs.
This is the best and worst of Maine dining. Spectacular patio location overlooking a wonderful sea and island view in arguably the most beautiful place on earth. Sorry to say the food is spotty at best and often just bad. Today's disappointment was fried scallops and haddock with onion rings. Cold, under-seasoned, and super slow getting to the table. We were hungry, and ate most of it (after sending back the wrong order). I figure if I eat it, I can't complain too much so I only mentioned it to our gracious server when she asked after bringing the bill. A little late to be wondering, but she was working hard. My recommendation is sit on the patio, enjoy a beer, wine, or cocktail in the beautiful sunshine, and eat anywhere else. We come here a lot, hoping for better, but next time I'll follow my own advice.
