Mountain Ridge

A few years ago I determined my newly minted Rhodesian Ridgeback, in addition to not liking rain, (standing water, moving water and cold), disliked snow. So I set about looking for sled dog booties. It was easy, there were only a few choices and one could quickly tell who was making gear for actual use and who was making gear to sell to city folk. It’s nice to see Amy and John still pinking and still stitching a product for the dogs. I have since added a second Rudgeback and he shares the first dogs sentiment about everything cold and wet. They are big strong fast dogs that have big paws, and mountain ridge makes a practical product that holds up well, keeping my guys outside for short bursts of training even in the cold. Ridgebacks are smart, so there’s no better endorsement than one from a smart consumer: Both of my boys come straight back to me for a new bootie if they throw one, so if you are looking for the real-deal, you have found it, and that’s an endorsement from the hounds not the humans.
