Such a beautiful restaurant!! It used to be a gentleman's social club back in the day. We had an amazing steak and lobster dinner and I had a lemon drop martini. Definitely get a reservation in advance! It's decorated so beautifully and has a bunch of small rooms with fireplaces so it feels really intimate.
The Bangor area's BEST fine dining restaurant! I have an elegant experience every time I come here. Service is top notch. A great place to have a glass of wine or a martini by a fire. The historic building really adds to the elegant fine dining experience.
Very good, we are regular customers and love it there. But I asked for more bread. I was floored when told by wait staff that there would be a $2 charge for 2 more very small pieces of delicious bread. Never have they charged before, and when a check is over $140 for two, without drinks, what's another slice of bread. Was going to ask for a third slice, almost funny actually. To bad, left a bad taste in my mouth about Tarratine.
Always a first class experience! Excellent food, exceptional staff & a relaxed but elegant atmosphere. Definitely our favorite date night place. Never dissapoints!
Great service, as always. My roasted duck and mushroom risotto was fantastic. My wife thought breaded chicken and waffle was a little dry but excellent flavor.
