Montsweag has experienced an absolute glow up under its current ownership. The space is beautiful, the staff is amazing, and the food. THE FOOD. It's so good.nnI've gone twice in the past week and gotten the fried chicken both times. My little southern heart was thrilled to find fried chicken that tastes just like I remember it tasting back home - crunchy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, with the most delicious and flavorful breading.nnThe garlic bites are a great appetizer to share, and I found the field green & balsamic salad to be everything I want in a salad - fresh and simple, made with high quality ingredients, and a nice light dressing.nnDon't skip out on dessert either. The chocolate mousse and the lemon chiffon cake are both at the top of my list, but they're all good!nnThe cocktail menu is superb. I'm a big fan of my 1939, and my dining companion last night enjoyed the adult root beer float.nnIf you went to Montsweag years ago and weren't impressed (I know I wasn't), try it again. Things have changed a lot, and all of it's for the better. It's hands down my favorite dining experience in the area!

Really cute restaurant with New England fare. All the staff was really nice and the food was delicious. The country fried chicken and waffles was perfect! Crunchy yet still juicy chicken with a perfectly cooked waffle.

Great place to enjoy a good meal with family or friends..I love onion soup, & the one had here last time is one of the best I have had, and I always try onio soup ud83cudf72 when I can.....l don't go for fleshy garnished dishes, but for great taste & moderate portions. Lots of restaurants offer their versions of onion soup ....but forget onion ud83cudf30...here I also had some homemade. Mac & cheese...which was also very good....many other options on the menu...easy to find a few miles out of Bath...north on route 1

The cutest little spot. I’m in Heaven with the red plaid shirts are maybe my favorite touch. Am I in an LL Bean catalog or real life? Ambrose is extremely professional but personable. Highly recommend!
