Awesome owner, great food!nCold beer!!nThanks Guys!!
Stopped in on a whim because the vibe looked cool. After ordering a drink the smell of hamburgers was so convincing, I needed a menu so I could order one. Mind you I'd already had dinner and had no intention of eating but I'm glad I gave into the craving, the burger and homemade chips were out of this world. Some dudes across from us had the wings and while I'm not a wing person, they actually looked so good I was enticed, the guys said they were good and could easily recommend them. It's my guess that within a couple weeks this will be a go-to place and you'll have to fight the crowds, at least that's my hope for them because really you have to root for a place that had a lighted Zima sign *and* a nod to The Big Lebowski.
Great place in downtown Portland. Haddock chowder one of the best I've had. A really good Reuben sandwich, too. Very friendly place. We felt like locals there, even though we came from Augusta. They're on our list for sure.
My group of friends and I went here to celebrate my best friend getting married. We walked in to grab drinks and food and we almost immediately were unwelcomed. The waitress there had an extremely sour attitude, ignored us and touched food off of our plates. The music was loud and obnoxious, the drinks were awful and the food was mediocre at best. This bar definitely seems more catered to locals. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!
Had a good, casual dinner. Ate the haddock chowder. A bit creamy so if you like thinner chowder, won't be your style but I love New England chowder and it's exactly that. Had the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries. Tasted good. Service was very good but the food took a while to come out, given it wasn't busy and it was a Monday night.
