Yellow Tavern

While enjoying a ride in the countryside and a visit to historic New Harmony, we decided to stop in for a late lunch, and was happy we did. Interesting old building and nice staff. Can't speak for the other food but we liked our sandwich selections. Just a nice change of pace; We recommend visiting it and having a bite to eat.

Not sure what all the hype about this place is. Wanted a little snack so we stopped in for a couple beers and appetizers. The food tasted like it came straight out of the freezer section at Walmart, but worse. Straight up frozen food, but not even the good stuff. Or even the decent stuff. I was served low quality frozen food that was poorly cooked. The onion rings were at least edible, but the mushrooms were somehow both soggy and chewy. Also, learn what beers you're serving. I got charged for an import for a Killian's, which is bottled in Golden Colorado. Might give it another shot sometime and try their actual food, but I doubt it given the quality of what I got. If you can't get an appetizer right, I don't have high hopes for entrees.

We stopped in with two teenagers, but they weren't allowed in. The lady working was amazingly nice. She recommended another place to eat that the kids would be able to eat at, but since we just wanted pizza, we ordered two and waited ten minutes for them to be ready.nnWe sat outside on the benches and ate. The pizzas were fantastic! Messy, but I highly recommend anyone coming through town to stop for a quick pizza. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Love small town places like this. Great service and really good food. I had the brat and fries which was cooked perfectly.

The food is great and reasonably priced, and the staff is always very friendly. I would recommend getting the reuben!
