Always great food and drinks. Service is good to. Sometimes a bit slow,, but it's always busy, you just need to show a little patience. It's worth it. We drive from an hour away to eat at this unique gem in Ames. Highly recommended it.

I thought it was going to be a dive bar, which are my favorite. This was a Friday after work. The staff was very well knowledgeable about their products and it was a blast! Would definitely recommend! Try a Scottish Egg or some Bangers and Mash!

Their outdoor seating area could use a canopy of some sort. If you visit on a hot day and opt to sit outside, chances are high that you will get sunburned. Food was okay though.

I got the shepherd's pie and it was amazing! So savory and warm and bubbly! One of my favorite dishes, and the Duck does it to perfection!

Beverages and service were good. The atmosphere as far as clientele was also great-mask wearing when appropriate and the people there were inviting and inclusive. I am very likely to try the food next time!
