Steak and salad bar were great. Breaded mushrooms were best I've had in a long time. Highly recommend this place

Great place to eat and have a few cocktails. The kitchen and serving staff are great and friendly people. They make you feel welcome! The food is GREAT! Pay them a visit and see for yourself. I would suggest a call ahead, as they do get busy.

First time there,drove over from Mason City today for lunch,would definitely drive back again. Good food variety, great drinks,service was great,and very Clean Llease try,a real Gem in North Iowa.Bill Gasperi.

We came to Emeralds from Hardy because it said they were open til 10pm. We drove all the way to be told they close the kitchen at 8:30 with an not so nice attitude. We won't be back which is a shame because of the economic situation you would think they would want business to return ud83eudd37ud83cudffc‍♀ufe0f

My son was getting married in the area so needed to find a nice restaurant for a rehearsal dinner close by. Was told Emerald's was a nice place, so we did a little research and decided this was the best available in the area. When we called told them we would have around 12 people including a child. Was told that we could not order off the menu but would be given a few choices, which we HAD to pre-order. Also, in order to get a separate area, it would cost $100. Ok, so we did that. When we got there it reminded me of an old supper club that my parents would go to in the 60's/70's. Room was nice, we had ordered two hors d'oeuvres which was just ok. We had some drinks and got our meals. I had a rib eye steak which looked more like a sirloin. We all ordered dessert, it was ok. Then the bill came. As the father of the groom it was my check. I was floored at the amount! I decided this was not the time to make a scene or discuss it. The food was good, not great. The service was good, not great. After I got home I decided to just let it pass. I am not the kind of person that leaves any type of review, but I thought I should leave this one. Finally, for the area of the state this is in, I never expected the bill to be so much, WAY too high. I have never been to this part of the state in 43 years I have lived here and don;t see me going back there, but if I did I would not go back here.
