When I went to the hospital over my gastritis issue they had me wait for almost 4 hours and no one was doing nothing but sitting around on their phones or goofing off in the front this hospital is a complete joke they need to have a hospital like pikeville medical center around the paintsville area instead of Paul b hall.

Waited for 3 hours in the waiting room July 5th after having been in a car accident July 4th. Was in a lot of pain, it registered on my face. They called everyone behind me first and then proceeded to claim there were no beds. Like seriously? I could've died in there! I left. Never plan to go back. I'll have to die before I do.

i would not recommend this hospital for any reason. the ladies at the front desk were so rude. i couldn’t hear them due to tube dysfunction in both ears and they got angry at me. they had to take my info three different times because apparently they didn’t do it right the first two times. they acted like they had something better to do and later on i learned it was eat pizza. so after this was all said and done the nurse that took my vitals was rude as well. she tried make conversation but it was rude and snippy. she moved me to a room to be seen by a doctor and i don’t know if he’s never seen a patient before or if he was having a bad day or what but he wasn’t too friendly either. the only good person i saw was the man who discharged me. he was sweet and caring and didn’t get frustrated when i couldn’t hear him. he was very patient with me and explained to me what was wrong and how to take my meds. apart from him, i would recommend you go to different hospital, even if that’s that closest one to you.

If you have to go and get an xray or blood work or some other tests done I would recommend going here. I went at 8pm (because you can go anytime) and I was finished with an xray and blood drawn in 20 minutes. They were quick.
