Thank you to the entire team of medical professionals at Baylor Scott & White Surgicare of Rockwall, TX with Dr. Racz.nEveryone was so kind, caring, compassionate and professional. I was treated as though I were the only patient there and needed full-time watchful eye attention. I felt so comfortable, never worrying about anything. I like the work relation that the team seem to have with one another. They seem like one big happy family of medical professionals each one showing pride in their area of expertise and coming together at the end of the procedure with the same goal: For me to have received the best possible care and an expectancy to heal and improve from the medical procedure. I was truly able to put my trust in their hands.nMy family and I thank you all so much for taking such good care of me.nnSincerely,nK. Aaron

I was scheduled for surgery check in at 5:45am. My daughter drove an hour and a half to get me there on time. We arrived at about 5:30am. At about 5:45 our vehicle was surrounded by Rockwall PD, demanding our information and purpose, because the check in clerk was frightened by our presence in the parking lot. A most disgusting and incredibly unprofessional environment.

I was very impressed with the quality of care and attention I received from the staff there. The nurses were so nice. I’d never had surgery before going there and I was beyond scared. The nurses, anesthesiologist, and my doctor explained everything in detail and made me feel at ease. They give you warm blankets, tell you of their own experiences to make you feel comfortable, and are always checking on you. I don’t remember everyone’s names but was very happy with my experiences with everyone there.

I had a tonsillectomy, septoplasty, and sinus surgery here in December, and stayed the night for observation. This is a very difficult time, and surgery is scary anytime, but even more during a pandemic. To add to my anxiety, this hospital is over an hour away from my home, but with the high demand on our medical facilities right now, I had to go to the place that would take me. The place was crowded, but you are allowed to wait in your car. The staff was warm and comforting. I really appreciated my anesthesiologist, Dr. McCaleb, maybe it was the juice he was putting into my IV, but he made me laugh in the OR, and stayed in my sight smiling at me while I went under (I can tell when someone is smiling even behind a face mask). My overnight nurse, Jeff, was also extra helpful and patient with me. I had to get up about every hour to use the restroom because I was getting so many fluids. He was always patient unhooking me from my monitors so I could get out of bed over and over throughout the night. I also found out from my mom, my caretaker, that he walked her to her car because it was after dark, which was very kind of him. My room was comfortable with a tv, sink, and chairs. Not as big as an inpatient hospital room, but I just wanted to eat ice and sleep anyway, so it was more than adequate. My post op pain was managed as well as it could be, I knew ahead of time this operation is a painful one. I got my pain medicine right on time, so it stayed tolerable. I remember lots of hand washing and sanitizing, and the nurses would also help put sanitizer on my hands (kind of hard to do with an IV and oxygen monitor on) and as a Covid survivor, I really appreciate those extra steps to keep everyone in the facility safe and clean. They have also called and sent letters checking on me after I got home which is very thoughtful. Thank you for being so awesome in these difficult times!
