I walked in to the gun department today to look into purchasing a handgun. I walked up to the counter and the gentleman standing behind it was standing there eating something. I looked In the case a bit while he finished chewing and then I asked how are you today and he replied “tired”. I told him, “I’m sorry....”. I stood a little longer while he busied himself with some thing at the register. NEVER asking me if I needed any help. So, I left. I will go to the Beaumont store where there is a woman working behind the counter that is very helpful and very willing to answer questions. Shame on you Port Arthur Academy, making me leave my home town to shop in Beaumont.
I love academy. I wish they had climbing gear. And boots in my size. Damn it academy. These need to be replaced!
Real good, I currently have an injury & can't walk. One of the employees an older white hair gentleman kindly brought a scooter to my car. He was very professional with a great attitude going above & beyond what he had to do.
Great merchandise. Horrible place to shop if you care about customer service. No one ever speaks to you, wants to help when asked and the shoe department personnel scatter like roaches when they see you. If you ask for help they are barely polite about it. The cashiers are great and friendly. Other than them you're on your own in there.
Great place for all your outdoor needs. Never have had a bad experience there. Always courteous and helpful
