Jos A. Bank

This was my first experience shopping at a Jos A. Bank. My initial impression was positive when I walked in and was greeted by an associate. I was looking for a couple of suits, 4 pairs of slacks, dress shirts and sweaters. The associate assisted me in selection and putting together some nice color combinations. Once the purchase was made I was told it would be 3 weeks before the alterations would be completed. This is where my experience went sour. The first time I put the slacks on there was material inside the leg that was exposed and caught my foot. Upon inspection, the stitching came apart. One of my suit pants ripped on the inseam of the leg. After a 3 week wait for alterations; I expected a quality job. I'm very disappointed with the extensive wait for the clothes and only to find that they fell apart immediately. Now I have another week wait to get them fixed. The sales associates deserve recognition; but the alteration department didn't meet expectations.

It takes a looking time to get them. I still haven't received my full order over a month later. They do produce really nice pants if you are super patient

Good personalized service. I had ordered 2 sports coats online but they were not fitting prioerky. Got myself measured at the store and will get the replacement shipped. Great customer service!!

Very nice staff. They were very kind and helpful to my husband picking out an outfit.

It was a blast from the past style of boutique shopping. Silvia made shopping an enjoyable experience. She wore a tape measure around her neck, and reminded me of an experienced taylor, courteous and extremely professionaL I cannot speak for the other employees, only to whom I personally dealt with. I was replacing my father's summer/ fall wardrobe, and put it off as long as possible because honestly, I dreaded it. Silvia greeted me, and used my name from that point forward. I explained his style and best estimation of his size, and she confidently went to work. I said yes or no to styles and I didn't have to remind her after that. She successfully picked out several shirts, pants, shorts, accessories, etc. I really appreciated that she had the forethought to make certain all tops, bottoms and accessories coordinated with the others. It felt effortless on my end. Of course, after he tried it on, I realized that I had his pants sizes wrong. Now I needed to switch them out. I called her to let her know of my blunder, and she assured me it was no problem. I allotted an hour of my day to run in and exchange them. THIS is where I felt the most gratitude for Sylvia. When I walked in the door, she greeted me by name and excused herself. Immediately she returned with her hands full. She had the foresight to look through the account in her system and take the time to pull out every single item in the correct size. She then labeled it with my name and had it waiting in the back for me. I really appreciated this so much. (Remember, I was dreading this entire experience from the beginning.) So many stores promise to give individual customer service, but certainly don't deliver. I walked in with little expectation and breezed out with a smile. I had shopped at the downtown store several times, and also received above average service, but this time was remarkable. Again, I cannot speak for the remainder of the employees, so do yourself a favor and call ahead for an appointment with Sylvia. You'll quickly see what I am talking about.
