Wow. Great customer service and excellent shoes. What more could you want? Chris helped us so much. Despite Chris being the only employee at the store she went above and beyond to satisfy everyone's needs in the showroom. I will definitely be coming back to buy shoes from Chris at Allen Edmonds.

Customer feedback on Marian McGee - Manager, Allen Edmonds Houston City Center for discriminatory conduct and denial of service.nnHi Allen EdmondsnI have heard great things about AE and always considered the company being topline of service when it comes to gentlemen shoes. The recent interaction with a company representative, Ms Marian McGee - Manager, Allen Edmonds Houston City Center, has greatly disappointed me.nnContext:nWe were a group of 3 Asians(2 males, 1 female) looking to buy 3 pairs of shoes for myself (M), my friend (M) and my fiance father (M) on May 29th 2020 @ 4597, 796 Town and Country Blvd #108, Houston, TX 77024, United States. While shopping at the shop we have noticed a series of inappropriate behaviors and attitude from your staff member below.nnComplication:n1. Discriminatory conduct:n- The chair we used to try our shoes was immediately wiped and clean in front of us. While I understand the preventive action during Covid-19, the act of cleaning while we were still inside the store showed that she thought of us as being unclean and contaminatedn- One of us was asked to leave the premise as a new customer (white) entered. We were very surprised as the notice on the shop front door allowed for 9 people at the same time (at this point there were only 5 people including the staff). As a result, one of us decided to stop her shopping and went out.n- The staff denied to touch our shoes to test for fit while was more than willing to touch and approach the white customer - a clear distinction in service attitude and conduct.n2. Denial of servicen- I asked for foot measurement and was explicitly denied by Ms McGee. I had to used the measurement device myself and was again denied instruction by Ms McGee. This led to us buying a wrong size (42D) and had to do an exchange with your other store in Dallas (exchanged for 42E). The staff in Dallas was very surprised as measuring foot should be a standard process !n- As we concluded the sales and wanted to buy one pair of shoes, 2 pairs of shoetrees and 1 horsehair brush, Ms McGee blatantly omitted our purchase for the shoes as if she thought we did not have enough money to finish the transaction (!?) Only after we insisted again that we could buy a pair of shoes from her !nnResolution:nI am very disappointed in the service level provided by Ms McGee in your Houston store and feel frustrated by the aforementioned micro-aggression. As such, I wish the company to have appropriate action to address this issue especially in city with large Asian population like Houston.nnI would like to attach below Ms McGee business card and a photo of our shoes purchase (wrong size)

I received superior customer service at this Allen Edmonds location. Let me first start by saying that I walked in there on my day off, messed up hair and all; wearing sweats and sneakers and an old t-shirt. Because of that, I did not receive any less service than if I was wearing a suit. Marian was fantastic from start to finish. She was patient letting me try on a couple different styles in different sizes. She also professionally sized me. Furthermore, the only pair of boots that I wanted in my size felt like the sole was uneven, so she offered to order them fresh from the factory. I received them right when she said I would and they are awesome. I don't have to go on about the quality of Allen Edmonds, but I get compliments on my Liverpool boots every time I wear them. If you are looking for quality dress shoes/boots, go to the City Centre location and ask for Marian!!

The staff is always very helpful and friendly. They didn’t pressure and let me take my time finding the right stuff. Look out for clearance sales.
