I love Academy sports firstly, and there is a little bias in this review because of that. I will stick to the facts though. This location has the friendliest staff you could ask for. Their ability to simply answer all questions is a determinant of how professional they are. The location is clean and stays organized no matter how busy. The register lines move pretty expeditiously and they always have the latest and greatest sports gear.
It is a regular Academy store. The place was clean and well organized. They had social distancing marks on the floor and a mask required sign. They could have had a few more people working the floor.
I love this store and I always come with husband and kids. But today I felt disrespected by Carolina, it’s like she couldn’t take no for an answer. I’ve worked in customer service mostly all my life and I know when to be respectful especially when it’s a couple. And when you asked us both if we would like to sign up for the credit card and I said no we are fine. But I tell you more than 3 times so you turn to my husband and try to get him to do it and you see me arguing with him about it . Then you still don’t shut up asking “Are you sure it’s really good” (looking at my husband) and then give him the brochure to change his mind. I kept my cool but you need to stay in your lane Carolina, and respect a woman. Yes your pretty but what you just did was rude as hell ! I hope any other woman doesn’t go through this because they might just make you regret it .
Great selection. Personable staff. The lines are disorganized and makes what should be a short trip last over 20 minutes sometimes. Cleanup the checkout lines and the whole store would run better.
Tori in Customer Service was EXTREMELY helpful! She was very understanding and patient with my confusing return that I needed done. She told me it wasn't a problem and that she would take care of it for me. She took the stress off my shoulders and made sure the return went through. Thank you so much Tori!
