Thank you for providing superb care to our dad in his final days. The compassion of the staff, especially the doctors and nurses, was beyond my expectation. The constant communication and protection of his privacy will always be special to me. More than that, you found a way to honor his wishes and get him home to us so that he did not pass away alone. Forever grateful I will always be. That goes beyond practicing medicine; that is displaying genuine human kindness at its finest. Appreciate you all!
It's been a week long of no answers and no help from Newberry since they don't have neurologist on sight.nI went to greenwood after that and they've definitely got me started on the right path now to figuring out why I've been passing out and apparently having seizure activity.nThe nurses were attentive and caring.nThe doctors were excellent in their clear decision making.nKept making sure I was comfortable and okay. There was no trash talk after they left the room which is amazing since Newberry staff really doesn't have bedside manners. Coming from a medical field myself and my entire family being past nurses etc. The experience at greenwood deserves more than 5 stars. I'll be going there from now on. And happy to see how the neurology team will treat me as well.
First time to visit the hospital for outpatient services. All contacts were friendly and helpful.nI was provided wheelchair assistance to and from the procedure room. Twice I was provided with nice warm blankets. Because I had heard and read negative reports, I went in prepared to fully evaluate services and facility. I would evaluate both as excellent. The passageways were all clear of equipment. Or any clutter (important to me as a former hospital employee in GA.). My visit gets an “Excellent” review.
Called to see how my daughter was doing and was hung up by a nurse named Angie, on 3/28/21. She was extremely rude
I had outpatient sinus surgery the last week of November. When I entered facility at 7:30 am I stood at Check/Sign In window for 7-8 minutes before one of the two ladies decided to acknowledge me.nThere was only one patient waiting. When I was acknowledged, I was told “Sit down we’ll call for you when we are ready.”nThe second complaint is one of the pre-op nurses wanted to draw blood from my right hand and not the center vein in mid arm. She kept moving needle around in my hand. I finally had to tell her that was enough, you aren’t drawing any blood here and you can see there is air in the line. I, the patient, had to tell her to take it out! After my instructing her to use the perfectly good vein that was there all along. The left arm spat blood everywhere when another nurse was trying to place IV needle. I believe they can provide better patient care with more training, maybe on each other.nThe third complaint, I have two insurance coverages. While I was at Sign In window I provided all insurance information with required ID. I do not understand why my insurance was not entered.nI received the first bill after surgery for the entire amount. I called the Billing Department and explained I have two insurance policies. I was told my account was updated. . I get another bill thisnweek with another balance. I called same Billing Representative and was told the secondary insurance was not entered. How incompetent are these people at this company?! It seems obvious to me Self Regional wants to not only collect from insurance providers and make patients believe they actually owe a balance when they do not. Self Regional, I believe is counting on patients to believe they have a balance so they gain more profitability. I will never go to this surgery center ever again and I do not advocate others doing so.
