I had to travel north of Okarchie so decided to stop in and eat at Eischen's Bar and grill. For years I've heard how good the chicken is there. Walking in on a Thursday around 3:15 in the afternoon it was packed. The pictures on their Google site are accurate. I sat at the bar and was immediately waited on. The menu is just a few items. I got a whole chicken and small fried okra to go. After getting my order I ate a piece of chicken and some okra as I was leaving. The chicken was fabulous, a light coating with lots of flavor. The breast was flavorful and moist. The fried okra was crispy and lots of flavor. It is the best fried chicken and okra I've ever eaten. I recommend eating at Eischen'snNext time I go I will go with several people so I can eat in the restaurant and see all the photos and other nostalgic items throughout the restaurant/bar.

Good Decor and atmosphere...the chicken we drove so far for was just as good as any I've gotten at some of the local grocery store fresh food counters though. The Okra needed some seasoning on it too....all I could taste was the grease it was cooked in. Need to add something to it, as soon as it comes up out of the fryer. Good enough for a one-time visit, but no need in returning.

What is there to say. It's the oldest bar 8n Oklahoma. Since the 1800's. But I don't need to say much because most people k ow about this lovely place. Of course I have to mention the chicken. In my opinion it's definitely top tier fried chicken. Hell they have been doing it for a cool minute if I could give it 10 stars I would. Love it.

We stopped in for the first time and the chicken is amazing! I see why they are so popular! My husband and I split a chicken and got the okra and loved it. I will say that next time we will get one chicken each so that we have left overs! The atmosphere is unique and you can see the history. The service on the day we were there was okay, the lady that helped us was not very friendly to us, but seemed to like another group that was there, so maybe she was having an off day? We will definitely go back and take a chicken home for later!

Eischen's is deginately the place to go for great Fried Chicken... But also try their fried okra and chili cheese nachos... Damn good... Wait staff very very nice and work so hard. Eischen's take pride in their food and service.... I wish they took more pride in maybe renovating their bathrooms. Same run down fixtures and partitions...
