I went to emergency because I fell on my bottom highly concerned about my baby. I went there at 10 pm by 3 am I still waiting. I went back to reception and asked her to remove needles because it takes too long. She said it had not been that long someone else have been here over 7 hours they still haven’t be seen. You’re not long at all. What is the word ER? It should be immediate care but every one have to wait this long? How could you safe patient on time if they have to wait this long?

I want to start off by saying, my wife and I have delivered two healthy baby boys at this hospital. We have had nothing but amazing experiences during those visits. My visit today will not impact the work I know this hospital does for labor and delivery and children. The nurses this hospital, particularly in labor and delivery are incredible. However, today was bad.nnMy wife has had persistent headaches for about a week since she gave birth to our second son. Her doctor advised her to call the anesthesia department because it is mostly likely due to spinal fluid leaking from her epidural. We called, the group told us we had to go to the ER.nnSo we did. We arrived around 3:30pm on 8/7/2020. We were put into a room around 8:00pm. During that wait a woman was brought in on a stretcher by EMS. She was screaming and moaning in the lobby for two hours before someone put her in a room. Im not sure why she was put into the waiting room in the first place. Then, a man who was clearly incarcerated was allowed to sit in the waiting room with other patients. I understand these people have rights and deserve treatment. But they should not be allowed to sit with the general public in my opinion.nnOnce we were in a room we waited another two hours for them to move us to labor and delivery. The only reason we were moved is because we asked. It’s almost like we were just forgotten about.nnOnce in labor and delivery, we were seen very quickly. The anesthesiologist said we would do a blood patch to help relieve the spinal fluid. We have now been waiting for that to be done for about three hours.nnWe have now been here for over 10 hours and my wife is no closer to being treated than she was when we arrived. During all of this we have been told repeatedly that other patients have come in that have to have priority. I understand this. Hospitals have an incredibly hard job to make sure every patient gets treated, in the order each patient gets treated. However, we have felt overlooked and made to be seen as “non-essential”. I want to make someone aware of our experience so that someone could learn from it. Thank you for reading my long review.

I have to say that this is the BEST hospital EVER we were treated very well during our stay EVERYONE on the labor and delivery and 3rd floor are awesome if I could mention everyone by name I would but I have to say Nurse Regina and Ellie are the best on the 3rd floor and Nurse Kelly in Labor and Delivery is the best as well as everyone all of these nurses I can tell all do their job out of love. Thanks for being so loving and caring and compassionate.
