If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My father was sent here after being diagnosed with cancer in his bones that went into his skull. I was unable to care for him due to complicated circumstances. The hospital decided to send him to this place and from the beginning I noticed they never fully understood his condition. Every doctor I talked to told me he was going to die. Even the Mayo Clinic said there was nothing that could be done for him. So basically I guess his insurance would cover his stay they sent him there listed as “rehabilitation” even though there was no rehabilitating from that. So the first 90 days were covered. They constantly bothered me over giving them money. I had given them $1,000 before his first bill was even due. I had requested he go to hospice because he could have afforded that, and they acted like there was no such thing as hospice for him. They have two separate sides of hospice. One where a person is dying within a few weeks and another part where it’s more of a nursing home side like palliative care. That would have been $90 a day. Much cheaper than what they charge. I could not get approved for Medicaid for him. I called his doctor and said I feel like he needs to be in hospice and this nursing home was just not getting it. They sent me a letter saying they were sending him to the hospital because they could no longer care for him. Then they changed their minds and had some hospice company come out to care for him after he broke his arm. He died 4 days after being in hospice. I didn’t even get to see him because of Covid. And then these people had the audacity to call me and say sorry for my loss but to please keep trying to get Medicaid to pay for his bill. Somehow they got his insurance to cover it. Probably lied and said he was in hospice longer than he was. And then they had the audacity to ask if I wanted his Bible 6 months later after he died. I had requested it long before that. Whoever runs that place is a complete idiot. They still send me a bill for $176 after 9 months of him being gone and that’s $176 they are never going to get from me!!!

Pruitt health is more than just a nursing home. It is a home, a place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household. Pruitt health of sea level North Carolina committed to caring is a family of staff, residents and community. I have worked to this facility and had to move due to husbands job for a year , I have never felt such emptiness in my life. I plan to return as soon as possible. Walking into the doors of Pruitt always brought a smile to my face. The residents all know you by name and we all knew them by name, family, town, favorite food, kids and many more details in life and can strike up a conversation with them at any time . They were the light of my day. The staff at Pruitt is amazing everyone works together to make the facility the best it can be. We all worked as one, whether it be maintainence, housekeeping ,therapy, nursing staff or a department head. Pruitt is family. Community is also a huge part of Pruitt at sea level. Local groups come in and play music, sing some songs, perform church services, pass out gifts, have a cup of coffee with residents and much more.Pruitt health of sea level is always committed to caring and will always be a home to many because once you've lived or worked here it will always stay with you as a family and a home.
