Love this place! The owner, who is a local person is on sight most of the time is super knowledgeable, her permanent staff are very educated in their area - seeds - grass for all types of sun, a bird expert to help in seeds for every bird, a manager who can help with any plant - placement, indoor, feeding schedule, so many young men and women who help seasonally, many year after year.nnAlso so many unusual plants, pumpkins, Christmas tress, herbs, color crops, my list could go on and on. And I love the fact that is locally owned, not a big box store. If you want it, Mary Anne will find it, and get it for you. Who could go wrong with all the perks and having your purchase go back to our community!!

Knowledgeable and friendly service

The people are amazing! They really know their information on gardening, growing house plants, and keeping a beautiful yard. If they don't know the answers to the questions, they will find someone who does. Maryanne and Kay were amazing and know a ton!

I have been a loyal customer of this shop for years. I recently wanted to buy some hedges for the front of my house. I visited the shop several times this fall only to be told to come back when they got a shipment in. I finally called again today to check on the status. I think the guy I spoke to was named Dale. I remember seeing him at the store and he was friendly at first. But it seemed he was annoyed that I had been checking in periodically. He was incredibly rude and aggressive toward me on the phone for simply asking a question. I thought I had found a regular shop for my outdoor needs but I will not be returning to this store.

Fantastically friendly and welcoming place with lots of beautiful decorations to browse, admire, and buy. St. Matthews Feed & Seed definitely has the feed and the seed and also helpful staff to make sure I got what I wanted.
