Med Acute care required a cash payment from son stating there was no insurance when they checked his insurance card. Husband is also a patient at the office and his coverage was valid. Why did son need to pay cash??? Insurance company said there was coverage when I called. Odd, if there was no coverage, why did Med Acute Care submit claim to insurance company the following business day? They were reimbursed within 5 business days. We left claim form a week after appointment to be completed by staff and 3 days later, when I did not receive call that they completed form, I went to the office. Form was still sitting on someone' s with our request that we would pick up when done. After finding incomplete paperwork, I learn they were reimbursed by the insurance company and the form would not have needed competion. Could they have told me that? No. Could they have called? No. I then tell them I want my money as they have been paid twice and was told it would take 30 days to cut a check. WHAT??? It's been 26 days and still waiting. Have called and left messages for Carla, the billing person, to no avail. Cannot get a return call. Poor customer service and the staff is not too cooperative.
