I brought my favorite boots in for new heels. These boots are no longer for sale and I did not want to lose them. Joe offered a recondition, which was kind of pricey, but I said yes anyway. When I came back to pick up my boots, I found that they looked better than they did when they were new!!!! I was so stoked. Definitely worth the money because now I will have them for a long time to come. And now I know where to go for show repair services, shoe maintenance supplies such as polish or mink oil, all sorts of leather repairs including zippers. Yeah, he's expensive, but the work is worth it!!

I will start by saying my request was an odd one, but simple and straight forward. I needed a loop of leather and a button sewn onto a pair of lederhosen. Mind you I have had this done before by a great shoe repairman by my old home (Alex at: butler hill shoe repair & alterations). Joe at Cobblestone looked at the pants and said $80.....I laughed and he said “well I need to go under the stitching and make the leather” this is a piece of sued that is maybe 1inch by 1/2 inch, so I picked up my pants and walked out. I drove the half hour to my old cobbler Alex gave it to him without mentioning anything about Joe. He looked at them and said “I will have to go under the stitching and cut the little piece of leather, and as long as we are doing it we may as well replace the other side so it doesn’t break as well....$28, they will be ready on Tuesday”. Worth the drive every time. I’m not sure how much Joe thinks his time is worth, but he seems awfully proud of his work.

Joe is the best at what he does! My shoes and belt now look brand new again after many years of wear.

Very rude disposition as well as visible white globs of glue on my black sandal...very ugly attitude as if he hate people but will take their money if they take his nasty grouchy attitude. It was as if he thought I'd read reviews and expecting a bad experience. Didn't see reviews until after I left.... Very bad customer experience. I will never go back to Cobblestone on Ballas and Olive in Creve Couer.....
