Tropical World Pets

I'm In St. Louis for the weekend for vacation and wanted to check out a few local fish stores with any free time that i could find so I decided to check this place out on my way back to my hotel. Since it was Sunday I only had a few minutes to browse before they closed. But I am very impressed with the store. I can't wait to go back in the morning when I have more time to browse.

Worth noting that they no longer have a saltwater/reef section.nnTheir freshwater selection is the best I've seen in the area, though. Lot of fish varieties, well kept in clean tanks. Some really nice display tanks set up, too. Lot of dry goods that I had a hard time finding back when I was into fresh water.nnI don't know anything about reptiles, but they have a lot of those too.

Chuck and his staff are always super friendly and very patient with all of my questions. They’re constantly getting in new animals, and all of them are very well taken care of. I’ve bought three snakes and five lizards from them, never had any issues at all. Best place in St Louis for reptiles. Highly recommend!

I have been coming here for a few years now, and it's always a pleasant experience. The staff here very friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to answer any questions you might have.nnThere's nice selection of tarantulas, fish, amphibians, and reptiles to choose from, too. They also have any item you might need for your new animals. So if you're in the area, check them out!
