This medical practice wasted my time, money and did absolutely nothing for me.nnI asked for a gynecologist and was booked with a midwife, without my consent or knowledge. I asked for a screening exam and they wrote the order for a diagnostic exam, which my insurance didn’t cover.nnI then asked them to fix the order, which they agreed at first. Three weeks went by and no one reached out to me. I had to call them 5 times to get my order changed and explain the situation over and over again to different staff members, which is extremely frustrating.nnFinally, they called me to let me know they would not change the order. So now, I can’t get the exam I need and I’m down $200 for a useless medical consultation. My medical concern remains unresolved.nnI left a message for the practice manager who never bothered to call me back. I also completed their online survey, stating all the issues that occurred, but zero response.nnThis office is the worst medical practice I have ever come across. Stay away!

PLEASE, please, please do not entrust Medstar Women’s Healthcare with your wellness, time, or money. This place doesn’t even deserve one star but Google forces you to do that so you can post the review. I have been going here for 6+ years and I have finally had enough. They have the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced, all the receptionists are extremely unprofessional, rude and short with you. They fail to recognize they are part of the forefront of this industry. Communication and professionalism is key. If you do not have the patience to deal with questions about vital health concerns while simultaneously treating patients with respect and effectively perform your duties, you need to get another job. The doctors are constantly leaving (it does not take much time to see why), running late, etc. They incorrectly charge you for things and do not care to see the part they play in the bigger picture. They fail to see how their careless mistakes affect someone else’s situation. Everyone is human and making an honest mistake here or there is understandable, but when I can recall something happening EACH time I go, we are now talking about careless employees. In what world did patients turn into a inconvenience?nI one time sat for nearly 3 HOURS waiting for my appointment because they were “behind” and they did not even attempt to accommodate me with seeing someone else or take the time to understand I took off of work to be there and cannot afford to miss additional time. I also had another appointment at one time which was scheduled at 8 AM. I showed up 20 min early per their direction only to discover the doors are locked... so here I am knocking and knocking and no one answers. I could hear the employees inside chatting away. I had to sit in my car for 30 plus min until they decided to open the door. Upon calling later and asking about what happened they told me the door is always open at 7:30AM, which I know is not true. The entire environment is the exact opposite of what healthcare should be. Don’t even get me started on getting charged incorrect amounts of money which was failure and miscommunication on their part, and when you try to figure it out they are completely rude and give you the go around. Not once have they taken accountability, but they have allowed the patientnto suffer from their careless mistake. And no, them being Medstar now has nothing to do with it. They were the same before! I gave them chance after chance. I could describe a very extensive list of additional incidents that have occurred in my time going here, but I will spare your time and get straight to what I have learned. My hopes in sharing this is that someone out there will do the same for themselves: Your health is not a joke, please take the time to do your research in the area and find a provider who will be attentive; I know I will. These people are supposed to be here to help and take care of you and your loved ones, and they have done nothing of the sort and in fact only made things worse. I am frustrated but what really frightens me is imagining the poor people who need serious medical care and attention and what happens to them. Put yourself first and hold them accountable! To the careless employees, you should be ashamed of yourselves. You need to do better. People trust you with their well-being.

I have been a patient with this practice for 13+ years. I have tried since October 2019 to obtain a well women’s visit for my annual PAP. I am repeated told their calendar is not open and they are booked. Please call back next month. I spoke with them today (1/29/20) regarding an appointment and was given the same response - no appointment, I’m sorry, call back later. I then asked, “if I were pregnant would you be telling me to call back in a month?” The answer was, “No, we can scheduled OB appointment.”nnSo, there is a discrimination going on at their practice, and women who just need annual PAPs done are being turned away, therefore, opening the door for a potential late diagnosis of life threatening diseases. We don’t go to these appoint to be spread eagle just for fun. We go to ensure we do not have uterine, ovarian or breast issues occurring. There is a reason. I repeaT, a REASON for our visits!nnI can’t believe that MedStar is taking this position. I seriously think this is a discrimination suit waiting to happen.... Young and pregnant come on in, past child bearing years find somewhere else....

Staff seems really rushed to get you through your appointment. Not very helpful, poor communication among the staff and staff to patient. I would not recommend this place to any newly pregnant woman, it's just to stressful dealing with unreliable and inconsistent service.
