Children's National Pediatricians & Associates Waldorf

My office visit was fine. However, I was told that before starting my son on needed medication, I needed to get labs done. I immediately had my labs completed, and the results were sent to the office. I received a call today at 11:40 saying that results from the lab were in and all clear. However, the Dr. working today was unwilling to call in the medicine my son needed. It is frustrating to not receive the care you need, when you need it. Today is Saturday, and now I have to wait 2 days until a prescription can be called in for my son. I was told the labs were all that was needed, and to know that the Dr. reviewed the labs, everything was clear, and the Dr. unwilling to call in the prescription for my son until the other Dr comes back to work on Monday, is very frustrating!! Aren't all the Dr's at this practice supposed to be competent? Now, I have a 3 year old that I need to protect against this as well. The nurse I spoke to wasn't much help in offering another alternative. I should have taken my son to another facility so that I could receive timely care by staff who have better empathy!

Both of my children have gone here for years. I have had a wonderful experience. The staff treat my children like family and they genuinely care about their health. Occasionally wait times are long during busy seasons (flu season, weather changes, back to school).

My children have been going to CP&A for the past 16 years. Now I'm recommending my niece to take her baby boy.

Didn't even get to make it in the office. Tried setting up a new patient.. staff was very unwilling to help when I called back and forth for weeks trying to make sure the records got to the office. They refused to see a healthy kid without ALL records despite the fact I said I had the shot records because we were coming from out of state.

I have been going to this pediatrician since I was a middle-schooler, and now take my son there. The staff is awesome, so polite, and helpful. I use the nurses line quite often and always get a call back very quickly. During cold season, waits can be longer, but we have never had any issues getting any appointments. I love all three of the doctors, especially NP Smith and Dr. Brubaker. They are patient and answer any questions, regardless of how silly they may seem. They always remember my kid as well which makes me feel great and valued. I like that they do not automatically default to pumping my kids with antibiotics, but offer a more holistic approach to simple illnesses like viruses and colds. I refer all of my friends to them as well!
