UM Charles Regional Medical Center

My husband was treated there a few years ago and we had a great experience. The doctors, nurses and staff were very attentive and professional.

I came to the ER on 10/2/2020 with severe stomach pains. Everyone I came in contact with was helpful, friendly and showed they cared about me. My ER Nurse was Lexie. She was awesome and made me and my husband feel at ease while we waited for the doctor. The doctor was thorough clear and took the time to explain why I was being admitted for observation. I was moved to a room and met Savannah, a traveling nurse. She was awesome too! She and I talked about everything including the low ratings I saw on line for this hospital. She shared that often times people have a good experiences but never write about it because it’s expected. But when people have a bad experience they usually write about it. All I can say is that I was admitted on 10/2 and discharged on 10/5. The entire time I was treated with care and everyone and I mean everyone I came in contact with was professional, caring, and left me feeling good about my care! I was glad to go home to my family but I did enjoy meeting the hardworking men and women at this hospital. They all deserve our appreciation and gratitude.

This place should not be called a hospital but a morgue. The ER staff does not care. You will here the nurses giggling about what to order for dinner over getting you seen. Unless you are bleeding from a gunshot wound, go somewhere else.

Went in with my fiance for a c-section. The birthing center staff were extremely rude and ignored my presence only addressing my fiance except for one person. The maternity ward staff were more professional except for nurse divina who was extremely rude and kept making comments that child care experts on multiple platforms contradict. She tried to fuss at my fiance and me for holding our newborn when studies show they're are multiple benefits to this. The unit manager Monique is very professional but their are rotten apples that can definitely dim the light on what's supposed to be a magical experience

I had outpatient surgery performed at this hospital. All of the staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Mitu was my nurse in preparation for surgery and she was great...gentle, kind and explained everything she was doing. Overall I am very pleased with St Charles Regional Hospital and my surgical experience.
