PAM Specialty Hospital of Hammond

I spent 29 days in PAM. I was treated with the greatest respect, everyone was just as nice as can be. From the admit personal to the cleaning crew the nicest people ever. My PT & OT team were the greatest, they worked with me and I had to learn to walk again. After 33 days in ICU including 16 days on a ventilator my body was nothing but mush. I could not hold my head up or lift an arm. After three weeks in PAM I was walking with my walker. I recommend PAM 100% besides that great service working with you the food is pretty damn good. From my experience , PAM Specialty Hospitalnof Hammond LA is an outstanding facility with an amazing staff. My dad was admitted in this hospital on September of 2020, it was so hard to leave him all by himself, because due to covid they wasn't allowing family to stay. When they open back up for family to visit and there I seen how this group of Nurses and CNA's took care of my dad brought tears to my eyes. To see how they made him feel as if he was their dad or their grandfather was such an amazing sight. It gave my family and I so much comfort to see how they were showing so much compassion to the patients and their families. This facility gets a 5 star rating from my family and I. I would recommend this hospital to anyone who has a sick family member and they want them to get the best of care.The PAM Specialty Hospital of Hammond LA is definitely one of the best hospital that I have seen and been to this year. I also would love to brag on these (5) individual. They are the Nurse and CNA's and Housekeeper of Pam Specialty Hospital of Hammond LA. Don't get me wrong the staff and crew there were amazing, but these ladies went over and beyond for my dad to make him feel, secure, comfortable and loved.They also reassured our family that he would be well taken care which put our mind at ease. It was Nurse Catherine, and the CNA's as followed- Bennic Carter, Haley Carter and Akimmie Wesby, and also Housekeeper Rebecca Lewis(also known as Becky). These women were remarkable and my family and I don't have enough tongues to say Thank you. We wish blessing upon you all and more. You all didn't make us feel like you all was just doing your job, but u showed us how much u love what you all do, and again for that we thank you.

As a staff member, I have noted closed loop communication among my department. My director is out at the bedside making sure not only our patients are being cared for, but our staff is doing well. The facility is one of the cleanest I have ever worked in. I would recommend this facility to job seekers and families alike.

Terrible facility. The staff likes to bill insurance for maximum charges that they can, therefore forcing patients to stay longer than necessary for unrequired procedures. Our doctor, doctor Rab forced us to stay longer than we should have on each of our visits here. Case management would not assist us when they should have. Angie the case manager would not help us, she refused to show her face all day (to the patient) or answer our calls (maybe to bill insurance for more days in the hospital). Stacey, the nurse practitioner has been sitting on our discharge paperwork all day purposefully for reasons unknown. This facility is terrible and representative of doctors trying to profit off, of clients.
